I ended my last blog asking this question: What is the leader of the true church, Jesus Christ, trying to tell us?
I think it is this. There is no religion, there’s only family. First let me address the first part of that sentence. I’m going to go to Wikipedia to show you what people other than myself have to say about this subject of religion.
The definition of religion is a controversial subject in religious studies with scholars failing to agree on any one definition. Oxford Dictionary defines religion as the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. Others such as Wilfred Cantwell Smith, have tried to correct a perceived Judeo-Christian and Western bias in the definition and study of religion. Thinkers such as Daniel Dubuisson have doubted that the term religion has any meaning outside of western cultures, while others, such as Ernst Feil even doubt that it has any specific, universal meaning even there.
Wow, no religion! What’s your reaction to that statement? Does it offend you or do you agree? I ask that you not have a reaction at all. But instead let’s see if we can understand this subject from God’s prospective. You see, there is a superhuman controlling power and Jesus tells us this about Him at Matthew 23:9:

Is Christianity the true religion? I’ll start this one off by being blunt.
Welcome back and let’s get started. As I explain this from the bible you may not agree with me and that’s fine and it is your right. But it is also my right to believe this to be true and to explain it as I see it according to what I read in the bible.
Let’s start with something Jesus said at Matthew 7:21 through 23: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+7%3A21-23&version=NIV.
Now I have to ask you, what religions come to us in the name of Jesus?
Christianity, in all of its myriad sects and forms, are the only ones, and yet Jesus says he will tell them in the last days, “Away from me, you evildoers!”
Why would Jesus call them evildoers? I think we need to start at the beginning of Christianity—which would be shortly after the death of Jesus. We read this in 1st John 2:18, “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.”
