Hello again. Thank you for returning to K.I.S.S.I.T. I often get asked if I believe aliens exist – are they real? In this post, I’ll be talking about that, and how it ties into the unseen war. Specifically, how the devil has tried to deceive mankind from even knowing that there is a war. Oh, and if you have dropped in for the first time to my blog, to get a better handle on this subject, and understand where we are picking up, read my last blog, okay?
First, let’s start in Genesis 3 in the latter part of 15: “I will put enmitybetween you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
Most Christian teachings declare that this woman mentioned is speaking of Eve. But that scripture says that God will put enmity between Satan’s offspring and between the woman’s offspring. The meaning of enmity according to dictionary.com is: a feeling or condition of hostility; hatred; ill will; animosity; antagonism.
There would be hatred between this woman and her seed and between Satan and his seed. This cannot be speaking of Eve in this scripture because it goes on to say that one of this woman’s children would deal Satan a death blow to the head. There is no human offspring that can kill a spirit being and the bible mentions this woman again long after the death of Eve. It must be speaking of a different woman. We will now try and find out who this woman is.
Hello again and thank you for returning to K.I.S.S.I.T. Last post, I left off hinting of an unseen war that is taking place right now. Before I get to that though, I must tell you how it began.
I stated in my last post that Lucifer is the son that had a desire to be like God. By entertaining that desire it began to grow inside him until it couldn’t be contained any longer. Because he chose self over others, he was now calling Jehovah a liar. How? By saying that God did not have his best interest at heart. If God didn’t have his best interest at heart, then Satan would have never had the right to choose self, he would have been forced to choose God. We can read at John 8:44 what Jesus told the Pharisees when he was telling them who their father was, 44“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A44&version=NLT
According to Jesus, the devil always hated the truth. What truth? The truth that it is better to rule through unselfish love rather than selfish love. Jesus also said that Satan was a murderer from the beginning. I was curious as to how the devil could be a murderer from the beginning when there were only spirit beings at the beginning. I know that God would not allow him to take the life of any spirit being.
In the name of God …? Just what is the name of God?
Welcome back and thank you for your interest in my blog K.I.S.S.I.T., where I use the bible to answer questions I had on my quest to find the truth about God. I hope you find what I now call ‘God’s side of the story’, intriguing. Wouldn’t things be a lot clearer if you could see them from God’s prospective?
Resuming where we left off in the last discussion, I gave made the statement that I had found information about God’s personal name. I, unlike the 3rd century Jews that we read about last post, do not believe it to be disrespectful to God to speak His name. The Jews before the 3rd century didn’t have a problem speaking it. Remember last time we found out that, in almost all bibles after the 3rd century, the name of God had been replaced with the word ‘LORD’. When we read the bible now, every time we see the word LORD in all capital letters, the name of God used to be there. I believe what God wants is more important than what people want. Can the bible tell us what God wants us to know about the use of His name?
God was using Moses to free His people from slavery in Egypt, but the Pharaoh was reluctant to let them go. Then God told Moses to tell the Pharaoh this at Exodus 9:15-16: 15“For if by now I had put forth My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, you would then have been cut off from the earth. 16But, indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth.”
There are many more examples of where we are encouraged to call upon the name of God or the LORD. As you read the bible and see the word LORD try replacing it with the name of your choice, Jehovah or Yahweh. When you do, I think you will find God becomes more personal. Think about it like this. If there were twenty men standing in a group and you started calling out, ‘Hey man!’, how many do you think would respond? All of them or just one of them? Take that same group of men and call out, ‘Hey Charles’, more than likely only the one named Charles would respond. Wouldn’t it be the same way with gods?
Hello again, and welcome. I hope you brought your waders this time, because we are about to get deep into another long-held teaching of Christianity. I must spend time clearing up, what was for me on my quest, one of my biggest questions. Were (and are) Jesus Christ and the Archangel Michael the same being, or two different beings? Modern day, traditional Christianity says they are two different beings. This is all part of God’s side of the story, so I want to be as clear as I can be.
In my last post I communicated to you my belief that they are one and the same being. Now I will get into the details of why I believe that. Time for some research on Archangel Michael. We found the Hebrew meaning for the name Michael to be ‘who is like God?’ Now let us find the meaning for archangel. First let us check Wikipedia. Archangel most be two words, let’s begin with the word arch.
Arche (/ˈɑːrki/; Ancient Greek: ἀρχή) is a Greek word with primary senses “beginning”, “origin” or “source of action”.
Now we put the two words together.
An archangel /ˌɑːrkˈeɪndʒəl/ is an angel of high rank. The word “archangel” itself is usually associated with the Abrahamic religions, but beings that are very similar to archangels are found in a number of religious traditions.
The word archangel is derived from the Greek ἀρχάγγελος (arch- + angel, literally chief angel). A powerful angel that leads many other angels, but is still loyal to a deity.
An angel of high rank or, literally, the chief angel. Let us see what gotquestions.org under the question, ‘What are archangels,’ says?
Gods only Begotten Son is our topic today. To those of you that are returning, thank you and welcome back. I would like to thank you for sharing this site with people you know. We have been on a steady increase of visitors. Again, thank you so much.
To those of you here for the first time, welcome! I hope you find this blog interesting as well and, if you do, please tell others about it. However, if you have trouble understanding what is being discussed this week, you may want to begin with reading my first blog.
On my quest to find the truth about God, I chose to use the bible to find the answers to my questions. The more I read it, the more a picture began to emerge. It was like putting a puzzle together, I remember putting puzzles together with my mom as a child. The secret for me was the details that shaped the individual piece I was searching for and how it connected to the next piece. Slowly, piece by piece, a picture began to appear. In reading the bible for decades, the same thing happened. Now that I am adding the remnant pieces to the picture that I see from the scriptures, I want share it with you. I am not asking you to believe it, just look at it from a different perspective. It may not make sense at first, because I have to start at the end of my quest and work back to where we are today in time.
Enjoy, as we explore deeply into exactly what or who is …
Hello and welcome back to kiss it. My last blog was mostly on hellfire, but my underlying focus was on how God has been misrepresented by humans. So, who am I to be telling you that God has been misrepresented? Nobody. I might add that God’s misrepresentation goes much further than that of my previous blog. I call this blog Keeping It Scripturally Simple In Truth, because I go to the bible for the answers on all topics.
You may say, “These are your beliefs.” And you are right, they are, but I believe because as I read the bible I keep finding common sense answers to all my questions. The bible gave me the truth; man gives me lies. The bible has the answers to all the questions about life, aliens, other gods, religion, governments, racism and whatever else you want to know about, if you have the ear to hear. John 10:27: “My sheep know my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (NWT) https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+10%3A27
I will get to all those other questions and more. But first, when trying to
understand the crime, in this case, life, one always starts at the beginning. The bible is God’s way of proving who He is. Remember – and I like to use this metaphor, of a sandwich – you can change the bread which is the bible’s translation, but you cannot change the meat, which is the message within the scriptures. Ready to start keeping it scripturally simple?
Has your search for God been confusing? Maybe, so confusing that you don’t even want to talk about it anymore. With so many different religions, be they Christian or non-Christian, it is easy to become confused about God. How does one know the truth about God with so many different groups saying they have the “only true” way to Him? Maybe we should just give up!
I am glad you are here. If you are new to this blog, and would like to “catch up” on its purpose and mission, please to go the “Intro to K.I.S.S.I.T. From Billy” page. There, you can not only discover a bit about me and why I am doing this, you will also have a list of all my blogs in chronological order, so you can start at the beginning of the journey if you wish.
Hello and welcome back to K.I.S.S.I.T. I hope you found my last blog, ‘Is God Real?’ interesting. This week we will be discussing a topic, hellfire and brimstone, that I had questions about when I was very young.
Just say it out loud and how does it make you feel?
Hellfire and Brimstone!
Hellfire and brimstone is a topic that is highly defended by those who believe in this place of eternal torment. My opinion about hell is not why we are here. I am here to present to you what I have found from my research in both the bible and other sources. I am not asking anyone to believe what I am about to put forth. You have the right to believe whatever you chose; you even have the right not to believe in any of this. However, if you want to keep it scripturally simple, then let us get started!
In my first blog I stated that, according to the bible, we are created in God’s image … our capacity to love or forgive all comes from God. If I were to ask you, “If you had the power to burn someone that you disliked very much for all eternity, would you do it?” I am hoping most of you would answer, ‘No.’
Okay, so why should we believe that God would partake in this horrific deed? Why would God burn people for all eternity due to disobedience? Let us see what we can find out from the bible.
Think about what the bible is stating here for a minute. Adam, who God created from the dust of the earth, was dead until God blew the breath of life into him, and then he became a living soul. That is how life came to be … so what about death?
Welcome to K.I.S.S.I.T.! My name is Billy Lonas, and this is my first blog of many to come … “Is God Real?”… is the question I want to delve into today.
I want to thank you for visiting my blog and hope you will find it interesting. I promise to do what K.I.S.S.I.T. stands for—keeping it scripturally simple in truth. I will be using the bible to explain every topic we discuss here. I will use a bible I have had for forty-two years, The New World Translation. Poor thing is so marked up, I think more than half of it is underlined.
Many people will say to me: “Well, the bible was written by men and there are so many different versions that it can’t be the word of God.” I can’t deny any of that. But if there is a God, would He not have made sure the message always held true no matter what translation people use?
Let me explain. I see a sentence as a sandwich. The breads are the words, but the meaning contained within the words is the meat. So the different translations are just different types of bread. But if there is a God, the message or the meat between the bread will always be the same. As I quote from my bible, go check to see what your bible says, I think that you will agree, they mean the same thing. Here we go, sit back and enjoy.
Again, the question: “Is God Real?”, will be our first discussion.
